Improving
air traffic management together. . .
Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) is
a joint government/industry initiative aimed at improving air traffic
management through increased information exchange among the various parties
in the aviation community. The CDM program is made up of representatives
from government, general aviation, airlines, private industry and academia
who are working together to create technelogical and procedural solutions
to traffic flow problmes that face the National Airspace System (NAS).
The principle behind
CDM is that shared information on all sides will lead to a safer and more
efficient NAS.
