FEA/FCA
A
Flow Evaluation Area (FEA)/Flow Constraint Area (FCA) is an evolving
tool that allows the construction of a two-dimensional line or three-dimensional
volume of airspace, along with filters and time boundaries, used to
either identify flights associated with a potential constraint, or
identify flights subject to an actual constraint. Flights identified
as transitioning through a FEA/FCA are either displayed in a dynamic
list or graphically on the TFM display. Timelines are also selectable
to show the number of flights transitioning through any FEA/FCA for
a selectable time period. The Flow Evaluation Team is continuing to
evaluate potential features to enhance FEA/FCAs in the future.
