Types File
The ETMS aircraft types file contains a line for each aircraft type (equipment code) recognized by ETMS. A sample line is:
A310 H - L 5 2 J 3500 3500 AirbusA310 Airbus Industries change11/89
The fields in the record are defined as follows:
- Field 1 - Aircraft type name (example: A310)
- Field 2 - Weight class; S (small), L (large), or H (heavy)
- Field 3 - M (military) or - (civilian)
- Field 4 - L (land), A (amphibian), S (seaplane), or H (helicopter)
- Field 5 - Category 1 thru 9 - describes prop/jet/helicopter/etc.
- Field 6 - Number of engines (1 - 8)
- Field 7 - J (jet), T (turboprop), or P (piston prop)
- Field 8 - Climb Rate (example: 3500)
- Field 9 - Descent Rate (example: 3500)
- Field 10 - Model (example: AirbusA310)
- Field 11 - Manufacturer (example: Airbus Industries)
- Field 12 - Comments (example: change11/89)
